Playstation 3 Hard Drive Upgrade

BACK UP your old PlayStation 3 first if you're transferring a hard drive. NOTES: - Upon the first start up after upgrading, you may get a message stating "the system software cannot be run properly". What to do: Get a USB stick or flash card, create a folder and name it PS3. Within that folder, create another and name it UPDATE. Then, go to the Playstation website, download the most recent update, copy it to the memory device, pop it in your PS3 and then press and hold the START and SELECT buttons on the controller. From there on it's pretty straight forward. - This is a recent 80GB model. Older models have smaller screws on the hard drive case. You will be required to use a very tiny cross-head screw driver and BE CAREFUL. Those screws are EASY to strip. My quick demonstration of how to upgrade your PS3. There already is a very similar video on my page on how to do this but this is very simple, quick and helpful "remake". I recently got a 500GB HDD for my other PS3 and decided to make another video.
