Retrode: USB clairvoyant for SNES bold carts

Order now: www.retrode.org FAQ: www.retrode.org More info on this little website: www.retrode.org To the best of my knowledge, this is the world's first USB interface for Super Nintendo Super Famicom games. Note: This is one of the few LEGAL ways of playing a commercial SNES game on an emulator. Just because you own a game cart doesn't mean you are allowed to download the corresponding ROM somewhere.

NEW SONY PSP GO! COMING IN 2009

Many rumors have circulated around Sony's next iteration of its handheld gaming device, the PSP. First, it was to lose its UMD drive; then get a cosmetic overhaul; then a Christmas release date forecast. Today, we find cohesion among the gabbing masses. 1Up cited "inside sources" at Sony have played with the newest PSP, supposedly named the PSP Go! This moniker was derived from Sony's recent usage of Go! on its European PSP peripherals, like Go!View and Go!Cam. Following the thread of previous rumors, the PSP Go! will likely ditch the UMD drive in favor of digital downloads that plant directly on the new internal flash memory unit. PSP Go! may be available in two storage models: 8GB and 16GB. This rumor makes perfect sense due to Sony's digital download-only release of Patapon 2. Concurrent with the device's launch, Sony may to release 100 downloadable games in its store, ranging from the PSP's old disc catalog to new titles. Those left holding UMD discs are out of luck. One rumor has it that Sony will supply in-store kiosks to allow gamers to dump UMD data onto their PSP Go!, avoiding the pain of repurchasing a game. Still, abandoning the UMD is likely to anger earlier adopters of the PSP, and may even cause Sony to lose new customers. Also out of luck are those waiting for dual analog nubs -- according to rumors, the PSP Go! will feature slide-out controls beneath the screen, but will maintain the control scheme of the current PSP model. If true, this is a major missed ...

Sony Vaio E Series Review - Part 1

Here's my sony vaio e series laptop. The specs: Intel Core i3 350M 2.26 GHz 4GB Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit ATI Mobility Radeon 5650 1GB 500 GB (5400 rpm) 15.5" Full HD 1080p Full island-style keyboard with number pad Windows Experience Index: Processor : 6.3 RAM : 5.9 Graphics : 6.7 Gaming Graphics : 6.7 Primary Hard Disk : 5.8 The slow 5400rpm hard drive is the only component holding the performance of this PC back. The rest have reasonable scores. Pros: Excellent build quality (Its a VAIO), classy design, excellent keyboard and trackpad (the trackpad has nice clickable buttons with a 'cliky' feel), full HD 1080p screen, Plays mainstream games comfortably at 1080p like COD4 MW, COD WaW, even Crisis at medium/low settings, 64 bit OS, has a separate Memory Stick/Duo card slot in addition to the SD card slot, 1 year VAIO international warranty, expresscard slot for future usb 3.0 upgrade, even with the core i3 its VERY fast (I wonder what the i5 and i7 are like!!) Cons: Low battery life (about 2.5 hrs), all 3 USB ports on same side (though the eSATA port is an eSATA/USB combo and does also double up as a USB port), no bluray drive at this price, Body is a fingerprint magnet, no media buttons like Play, Stop, etc. for Windows Media Player, No button available just to turn the screen off, LOADED with bloatware!!, VERY underpowered speakers, Watching movies is not that clear (the colour reproduction isn't that good for movies but for gaming its really good, I wonder why ...

ST1100 :: S-Cam - Stealth Mounted

Shot in Shropshire/Worcestershire with bullet cam mounted under headlight. DVR Unit in fairing side pocket. Particularly interesting is the night quality in the last 2 minutes compared to my original night test. I think it could benefit from a low gain external mic. hmmm ----- Unit is an S-cam with internal 8gb flash drive which I bought direct from Chinavision (why pay a premium elsewhere, other sites are selling the same item for nearly £200!!) for a total cost inc shipping, taxes of just under £120 Although it does come with a mount it's not really suitable for a helmet so I bought one of these from the site I didn't buy the unit from ;o) Total recording time on the 8Gb is between 180 and 520 minutes depending on quality setting,. There's a video time setting of 10,20 & 30 mins which splits the recording every X minutes. You can also record direct onto an SD card. It is possible to power the DVR using the supplied USB lead and a cigarette lighter to USB converter however the software is a little picky about which order you plug things in and power it up the better option would be to use the DC in jack using a multivoltage adaptor from somewhere like Maplins/Halfords (already had one) . I've also been trying a 'Stealth' install with the DVR in the LH fairing pocket which (IMHO) does highlight that a external low gain Mic may be preferable (or that I need new speakers on this PC as it doesn't sound so bad when hooked up to the PC or TV lol)

Make sure you watch THE ENTIRE aspire one recovery video because there are sections where it gets a little technical and you have to work fast. *Note This installation / recovery only works with the LINUX models - for Windows XP, just use eRecovery (ALT + F10 when you boot up.* For the original article on The Acer Guy blog, click here: www.theacerguy.com
