Sony Vaio E Series Review - Part 1

Here's my sony vaio e series laptop. The specs: Intel Core i3 350M 2.26 GHz 4GB Windows 7 Home Premium 64 bit ATI Mobility Radeon 5650 1GB 500 GB (5400 rpm) 15.5" Full HD 1080p Full island-style keyboard with number pad Windows Experience Index: Processor : 6.3 RAM : 5.9 Graphics : 6.7 Gaming Graphics : 6.7 Primary Hard Disk : 5.8 The slow 5400rpm hard drive is the only component holding the performance of this PC back. The rest have reasonable scores. Pros: Excellent build quality (Its a VAIO), classy design, excellent keyboard and trackpad (the trackpad has nice clickable buttons with a 'cliky' feel), full HD 1080p screen, Plays mainstream games comfortably at 1080p like COD4 MW, COD WaW, even Crisis at medium/low settings, 64 bit OS, has a separate Memory Stick/Duo card slot in addition to the SD card slot, 1 year VAIO international warranty, expresscard slot for future usb 3.0 upgrade, even with the core i3 its VERY fast (I wonder what the i5 and i7 are like!!) Cons: Low battery life (about 2.5 hrs), all 3 USB ports on same side (though the eSATA port is an eSATA/USB combo and does also double up as a USB port), no bluray drive at this price, Body is a fingerprint magnet, no media buttons like Play, Stop, etc. for Windows Media Player, No button available just to turn the screen off, LOADED with bloatware!!, VERY underpowered speakers, Watching movies is not that clear (the colour reproduction isn't that good for movies but for gaming its really good, I wonder why ...
